Rhododendron x 'Pinky Bee'

Common Name Pinky Bee Azalea
Type: Evergreen
Bloom Time: April
Comments Vivian, East Fork Nursery: "Pinky Bee" was from the garden of Pinky Bruner (the lady who found the Bruner hollies as small seedlings under some hollies at the old Kern's bakery in Knoxville). Francis Lothrop (now deceased) was an active member of the Knoxville Garden Club. She had one of these that came directly from Pinky and she insisted that I get cuttings of it as she considered it a superior azalea. I named it 'Pinky Bee' and have been growing it ever since.
